10 Little Secrets Tag!

Here is a tag that is going around YouTube. Once again, I thought doing this tag would be fun :)

Questions:
1. What is one product that makes you feel like a million dollars?
2. What is your skincare secret? / A passed down skin care tip
3. Share your hair care secret?
4. What is your biggest diet rule?
5. Any workout tips?
6. Which perfume is your secret weapon?
7. What's a clothing item of yours which always turns heads
8. What is your most treasured piece of jewellery?
9. Who is your style crush?
10. Tell us something we don't know about you

Answers:
1. Probably mascara, because it really makes the eyes look bigger, but probably also concealer or blush.
2. Washing our face twice a day. I know this is probably an obvious one, but I was always told that it just wasn't makeup that you were washing away but also excess moisturizer on your skin that can build up.
3. Don't use heat a lot on your hair! It will damage your hair and your hair will look softer and more healthy without putting heat on it. This is one secret for no split-end :)
4. Drink a lot of water and chew gum to prevent getting hungry.
5. Keep your workout consistent as well as do the workout that is best for you! Don't be too hard (or easy) on yourself.
6. Probably Viva La Juicy or Bath and Body Work's Sweet Pea. Both sweet and flirty!
7. Probably just either bright pops of color in outfits or a really cute skirt or dress.
8. I don't own many treasured pieces of jewelry. Probably a necklace that is made up of some sort of stone that's really really old, but I never wear it.
9. Lauren Conrad! I love her style is definitely someone I look to for inspiration.
10. Probably that I'm really shy, but I love talking. Yes, I know it's weird combination, but I shy around new people but if I'm comfortable around you and you start talking to me, I seriously won't stop!

So that was the tag!
I tag everyone, but here are some people I specifically tag:

How to: Black Skinny Jeans (spring edition)

Black skinny jeans can be spring-y when paired with the right top or shoes. They can almost be an essenital for spring for those cooler spring days. They can help elongate and slim you down!
Here are some ideas on how to wear black skinny jeans.
  • Black Skinny Jeans + Bright Top + Brown Belt + Nude Flats. The brown belt can ofter a "transition" between the bright top and black jeans.
  • Black Skinny Jeans + Low-High Top + Wedges. I think that a loose low-high top, or shark-bite sweater and black skinny jeans  look good together for that laid-back but put together look. Wedges also look good with black skinny jeans
  • Black Skinny Jeans + White Top + Colorful Belt +Colorful Sandals. Yes, you can wear a white top with black skinny jeans without looking like you're on a business trip. A colorful belt, like a bright blue, and colorful sandals can make the outfit more casual. If you want to, also add a colorful, long necklace.
  • More Business Casual or Dressy: Black Skinny Jeans + Loose White Top + Nude Heels +Turquise Assessories This is more business casual with the heels and the loose white top. A sheer white top (with a white cami or tee underneath of course!) would also look well with the outfit! The turquoise accessories also add a nice pop of color!
  • Overall Tip: Try rolling up cuffs of the jeans to a few inches above your ankles for that more casual, spring look!

Spring/Summer Beauty Trends 2012: Tangerine Twist

I know in one of my previous posts, I mentioned that nude lips were in (post here). Colorful and nude are practically opposites from each other, but are both in. Colorful make up is always in for the spring, but thing spring, it's featuring tangerine. Having both nude and bright lips being in is a nice change!
This color is a bit dramatic for me, but I feel that it is also wearable. I also feel like this color is flattering on a wide range of skin colors and for everyone, whether they like to adventure out or not.

  1. Revlon Lip Butter in "Tutti Frutti". Perfect for those who want to try the trend, but don't want anything too dramatic.
  2. NYX Eyeshadow in "Golden Orange". Try applying in the crease with a champagne on the lid, or just all over the lid for a more dramatic look.
  3. Sephora Eye Pencil in "Tangerine Tango Twist". Try applying on the uppoer lash line or as an eyeshadow pencil.
  4. NYX Lipstick in "Citrine". A nice pop of color for the spring!
  5. MAC Blush in "Modern Mandarin". A nice subtle blush. Try applying to the lower part of the apples of your cheeks.
Thank you for reading :)
Please comment on whether you're a fan of this trend or not!

Quick Tip: Vaseline + Eyelashes

Applying mascara daily can often dry out your eyelashes, from the roots to the tips. This can eventually cause some of your eyelashes to fall out. One way to prevent this is by applying mascara to your lashes and lash line.

Applying vaseline to your eyelashes every night can moisturize them, which can lead to strength and length.
Here are some steps to apply:
  • Apply vaseline to your lashes at night after cleansing.
  • Using a Q-tip of a clean mascara wand, coat it with vaseline.
  • Then, as if you're apply mascara, take the Q-tip or mascara wand, and run it through the tops of your lashes, then on the bottom, once again, like you're applying mascara. Coat your lashes as much as your like, several coats at the least. Also apply on your lash line and bottom lashes. In the morning, just rinse off with your cleanser.
Hope this was helpful and please comment and follow!
