How to: Make Your Own Lip and Cheek Stain!

Making your own lip and cheek stain is a pretty easy process. It's more on how to apply that can be a hassle. Lip and cheek stains are menat to look natural. What can be more natural than making your own stain our of berries and fruit? Now is the perfect time to make your own stain sense the fruit required are now in season!

Here's what you need:

1. Pick a fruit
Raspberries:
This is for if you want a natural, flirty pink look. Raspberries give a perfect, little bright, but not too bright, pink color.

Black Cherries:
This is for a little more of a darker, but a still natural look. Black cherries give a more pinky-red, with almost of a hint of purple.

2. After choosing your fruit, smash it in a small bowl and drain the juice into another bowl, so there is no seeds and only liquid.

3. For Lips: Moisturize your lips 10-20 minutes before applying your stain (for smoother lips, try a lip scrub as well before moisturizing). If you apply the stain too soon after putting on chapstick, the stain won't stay on your lips. After 10-20 minutes, apply one thin layer of the fruit/berry juice for a "base." After it has dried completely, apply more on your lips, rub your lips, and let it dry.

4. For Cheeks: Dot a generous amount of juice on the cheek, but not too much to the point where it's dripping. Spread the juice on the cheek, but not too spread out, just in the small general area (don't rub in yet! You'll be spreading it around later). Let the juice sit for 20-30 seconds (depending how bright you want the color.) After the time is up, the juice should feel a tad bit thicker This will make it easier to rub in..Rub the juice into your cheek in the area you want it, until you have the flush you want. Let dry, and you're good to go!

I hope this was helpful!

Get the Look: Gwen Stacy's (Emma Stone) Look from "The Amazing Spiderman"

I seriously admire Emma Stone, and when I found out that she was going to be in "The Amazing Spiderman", I was pretty excited! Can I just say that watching her and Andrew Garfield's chemistry on screen (and off!) made me love them even more as a couple!
I loved Emma Stone's character, Gwen Stacy, in the movie. I also liked her makeup. When watching the movie on the big screen, for a second I couldn't help but notice her makeup.

This is my take on Gwen Stacy's look!

Since Gwen doesn't have that full coverage, but still clean look, go for a tinted moisturized. Apply a pore minimizing primer before to give that extra flawless look.

ELF Eyebrow Kit in "Medium"
Fill in your eyebrows to bring out your eyes more.

Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in "Bone"
I noticed that she did not wear that much eye makeup, but that she was wearing a light eyeshadow. Go for a light beige color that can also brighten the eye. Apply all over the lid.

Make Up For Ever eyeshadow in "64"
It seems as if she does have a subtle, light color in the crease. Apply a light brown that has a hint of peach into the crease.

Gwen is known for her winged eyeliner. Use a liquid or gel liner to make thin line across the upper lash line, then build upon that line a bit more, so that it is noticeable, but not too thick. Make a small wing in the outer corner.

Apply a volumizing mascara to open up the eyes more, but try to keep the mascara natural looking.

Illamasqua Cream Blush in "Rude"
Add a soft peachy/coral pink color to the apples of your cheeks. It looks as if she was wearing a cream blush for that glow.

For her subtle, pearly glow, go for a light highlighter and apply on the cheek bones.

Tarte Natural Lip Stain in "Hope"
To finish the look, Gwen has a rosy color on her lips. It doesn't look like she's wearing lip gloss, so go for a rosy pink lip stain.

This makeup is perfect for everyday and gives you that effortless look.
I love her look and I hope this helped!
