Make Those Eyes Sparkle! - A holiday makeup tutorial

This sparkly make up look is perfect for a Holiday Party, such as a New Year Eves Party.
This is a more "out there look", so be sure to keep the darker color light.

First, take a shimmery champagne taupe color cream eyeshadow, such as Mac's Morning Frost Paint Pot. Apply a layer all of the lid and inner corner. This will work as an eyeshadow primer as well.
Mac's Morning Frost

Next, take a champagne/golden/frosty blue shade (I know, weird combination), such as Mac's "Snow Season". Place this on the inner two thirds of the lid, and a light layer on the outer third. It may be best if the lighter champagne part of this eyeshadow is taken, for a more brightening look.
A dupe for this eyeshadow would be the lighter color in Maybelline's Marbleized eyeshadow in "Silver Scarlet". The Mac eyeshadow and the Maybelline eyeshadow are practically the same color.

On the outer third of the lid, place a silver blue color, such as Urban Decay's "Gunmetal" eyeshadow. Blend well with the champagne color on the lid, so there are no harsh lines. If you're bold want to deepen up the look, and a little bit of  Urban Decay's "Creep" to the outer corner.

As a dupe, the blue side of Maybelline's "Silver Scarlet" can be used.
*Blue can be a over-powering color, so be sure to go lightly on this color*
Bring the Gun metal color lightly into the outer half of the crease, and blend.

Take Urban Decay's "Toasted" (shown above) and place this on the outer third of your bottom lash line. This will brighten the eyes, while not being too light or dark.

As a highlight, add a matte cream color, since most of the eye is already shimmery, such as Mac's Blanc Type.

Apply a thin line of liquid liner to the upper lash line, winging it out a little. Apply voluming mascara.

If the blue is too much for you, you can replace the blue with a purple color, like Urban Decay's "Hustle" (shown above).

I hope you enjoyed this look!

Look Cute Chirstmas Morning!

Personally, I don't want to take the time to put on make up Christmas morning.
Here are some tips on how to look cute when opening those presents!

Wear a pair of cute PJs the night before

Nobody wants to wear a pair of embarrassing  PJs Christmas morning when mom is taking pictures. Throw on a cute cardigan the next morning!

Makeup: Concealer and Mascara

In the morning, just swipe some concealer under eyes to make you look awake.
Curl your lashes and apply some mascara. This will instantly brighten up your eyes.

If you need to, apply a light color eye shadow all over the lid and inner corner, such as Mac's Naked Lunch.

Simply Pin Back Your Hair

Brush your hair and make a deep side part. Take the front section from the part with more hair and pin it back with some bobby pins.
Easy!

Hope this helped <3

Simple Holiday Makeup

Here is a look perfect for the holidays!

Eyes:
First, apply a shimmery nude pink color base, such as Stila's smudge pot in "Kitten". Apply this all over the lid, up to the crease. This will really make your eyes pop. You can find this at sephora.
Bring this into the inner corner and inner fourth of your bottom lash line.

Next, Apply a darker beige sparkle color, such as Urban Decay's "Sidecar" in the crease and outer corner. Just apply a little bit to the outer half of the crease, and outer third of the lid. This will just deepen up the look, without making it too dramatic.

Apply a thin line of black liquid eyeliner, such as Maybelline's Ultra Liner in black,  just to the upper lash line.

Apply a voluming mascara, such as Maybelline's Volum' Express Falsies Flared in black. Apply this to your upper and lower lashes.

Cheeks:
Lightly apply a raspberry colored blush, such as Mac's Mineralized Blush in "Gentle". This will give you a pretty glow! Be sure to apply just a light layer, because the lips are going to be dramatic.

Lips:
Apply a red lipstick that has a little pink in it, such as Mac's Pro Longwear Lipstick in "Perpetual Flame". This will pull together the whole look, and let's be serious. What's a holiday makeup look without red lips?

Thank you so much for reading!

Holly Jolly Holiday Tag!

This tag was invented by... on Youtube. Since I don't make videos, I decided to do it on my blog instead!
Here are the questions:

1. Favorite Christmas Movie?
2. Are you on the Naughty list or the Nice list?
3. Show us an embarrassing Christmas Card photo! (WE KNOW YOU HAVE ONE OK)
4. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
5. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
6.Play or Sing your favorite Christmas Song!
7. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
8. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
9. What holiday tradition are you looking forward to most this year?
10. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
11. Hands down, what's your all-time favorite holiday food and holiday sweet treat?
12. Be Honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
13. Show us your tackiest Christmas attire (ex: Ugly Sweater)
14. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
15. Does your family have a special holiday recipe you like to help make?
16. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
17. Most memorable Holiday moment?
18. What made you realize the truth about Santa?
19. Do you make New Years Resolutions? Do you stick to them?
20. What makes the Holidays special for you?

Here are my answers!
1. I have a few favorite Christmas movies. I really like both the Christmas classics "It's a Wonderful Life" and "A Christmas story".
2. I hope I'm on the nice list!
3. Believe it or not, I don't have an embarassing Chirstmas card photo. And I telling the truth!
4. I had one white Christmas that I can remember when I was in middle school, but it rarely snows on Christmas where I live. May be a couple snow falls, but it didn't stick. Mostly rains.
5. My family and I usually stay home. Sometimes relatives come over or friends.
6. Since I can't sing it for you, I'll just tell you. "Sleigh ride" always gets me into the holidays, and I love it! I also like "All I want for Christmas" and Last Christmas".
7. No, we usually open presents the morning of Christmas day.
8. Let's see, theres Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Doner(?), and Blitson. But do you recall... the most famous reindeer of all... Rudolph (the red nosed reindeer!). I'm not sure whether the ones I named are actually some of the names of the reindeer. I'm kinda sad that I can't name all (8, 9?) of them.
9. Well, opening presents of course and watching others open presents, which isn't really a tradition!. We don't have many traditions on before and on Christmas, besides the usual: putting up the tree, One thing that we usually do is make breakfast for my mom on Christmas morning.
10. It's fake (sad face). I wish we had a real tree, but my mom isn't a fan of real Christmas trees.
11. Gingerbread men!
12. As much as I like getting gifts, I would have to say that I like shopping for Christmas gifts for other people more, especially my parents.
13. I never owned any tacky Christmas sweaters, though my Grandma used to make us these cute Christmas dress when I was little. My sister when she was little though, owned the tackiest sweater I have ever encountered. It was a green knitted vest, with a stocking on one side with bells, and sewn on candy canes on the other. It was the ugliest sweater ever. Thank god she through it away (I think...) also.. (If I can find a photo of it later, I'll post it)
14. Probably France, because in movies, Paris always looks so pretty in the winter time! Also New York would be cool!
15. We usually make Gingerbread men, and that's the only "speical" recipe we have.
16. Pro-present wrapper. That's because I love wrapping presents, and kinda a perfectionest when it comes to it.
17. Well, the one/several that comest to the top of my head is when my Grandma comes over.
18. What truth? Just kidding! Some time when I was in Elementary school. I figured it out a few years before I told me parents that I knew it was them. I just didn't want to crush them.
19. I don't usually make any holiday revolutions, mainly because I never stick to them.
20. I love giving gifts and I love that holiday spirit!

Well, I hope you liked this (long) tag!
I tag anyone who read this!

Thanks! <3

We Are Teenage Girls...

I found the poem above from sparkliebarbiexo's tumber (http://sparkliebarbiexo.tumblr.com/) and I found it both funny and so true.
I would say that I can completely relate to this. As a teenage girl, all these things apply to me when I either come home from school or on the weekend.
Reading this poem really hit me. Us teenage girls are based so much on our looks. And it's not just fact that others at school judge us only by the clothes we wear that we wear and the makeup we put on, but also how we feel like we need to do all of this just to impress others at school, whether it's our friends, peers, or a guy.
Right now, writing this, I'm in my sweatpants, with my hair clipped up, no make up, and wearing fuzzy socks with fuzzy slippers. And I'm not going to lie. Practically no one could make me go to school like this.
This made me wonder what if everyone went to school looking like how we are on the weekend at home. I've lived in a house with a teenage guy, but I guess that they would probably come with the same thing they always wear: sweatpants, basketball shorts, a nike tee.
Us girls, though, would come in looking like the side of us that we don't want people to see.
What would people think of us then, seeing the side of us that's not tainted by everyone's expectations of us?
