Truth, I honestly never really understood distressed jeans. I didn't see the point of spending money on a pair of destroyed jeans when I can buy a pair of classic jeans with no holes for the same price or less. However, for the spring, I have recently grown a liking for distressed jeans, especially when its paired with more classic pieces. When tastefully done, distressed jeans can look chic and be the perfect addition to a spring and summer wardrobe.
The key to distressed jeans, especially boyfriend jeans, is balance. For example, rips on boyfriend jeans have also been a growing trend and to balance the looser fit, add a pair of heeled sandals and a colorful top. Distressed jeans also look perfect with a simple neutral colored top and keeps the outfit classic and chic. If you don't to spend money on a pair of distressed jeans, there are many tutorials online to distress your own jeans, such as these posts from A Pair and A Spare (here and here).

Great picks! I love the look, but some people can definitely over-do it. A few tears here and there always look best to me!

I agree that it can be overdone. For me personally, a little less is more what it comes to rips! Thanks for stopping by!
