Gingham print has been an anticipated trend since it took over many of the runways for the fashion weeks for Spring 2015. Gingham, or as I like to say, "picnic-table" print is similar to plaid, but usually only incorporate one or two shades of the same color. Since the print seems to usually be associated with the warmer weather, this print is perfect for the spring and summer. The trend can be found in both high-end and affordable stores and comes in a wide range of colors. Since gingham is a distinctive print, the print can help add detail to any simple outfit.
I think that for the warmer months, gingham is the perfect twist to popular plaid prints. I also believe this pattern suits many different styles, and isn't limited to more preppy styles, which is where I've mostly seen the print. It all depends on the color of the pattern and the style in which you are planning to where it.
